It’s official: each member of BTS has opened his own personal Instagram account! They opened them up on December 6, 2021, and have accumulated over 2 million followers each within an hour of making their first post. Check out each member’s username and first posts below!

1. RM

RM’s username is @rkive, a reference to his studio name “RKIVE!” He chose the name RKIVE in 2018 to reflect his new stage name, RM. His first post was a picture of him relaxing beside the ocean, totally on-brand for the nature-loving leader!

He also shared a picture of him at SoFi Stadium!

2. Jin

Jin’s username is simply @jin! His first post on Instagram was him backstage for PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE LA. The picture showed him with his adorable Squid Game hairstyle!

3. Suga

Suga chose the username @agustd for his personal account! Agust D is Suga’s name for his solo projects; it was created by flipping “Suga” backwards and adding “DT,” which stands for “Daegu Town,” Suga’s hometown. His first post looked to be of a walkway in a park!

4. J-Hope

J-Hope’s username is definitely getting tons of fans emotional; he chose @uarmyhope! This username combines BTS’s fandom name, ARMY, with J-Hope’s stage name and the iconic greeting he does at almost every show: “I’m your hope. You’re my hope. I’m J-Hope.” His first two posts were pictures of polaroids he took!

5. Jimin

Jimin’s username is super short and chic: @j.m! His first post is a picture of himself looking totally mesmerizing. Jimin’s caption was simply the hashtag #JIMIN, one that is sure to trend online even more now that he’s opened the account!

6. V

V’s username, @thv, combines the initials of his first name, Tae Hyung, and his stage name, V! Fans might also connect it to his nickname “CGV,” which refers to his visuals that are so beautiful, they look computer-generated and worthy of being in movies. His first post was of a baby dinosaur!

7. Jungkook

Jungkook’s username is definitely the longest of the seven, though also undeniably clever. His username is @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz! It’s the English alphabet without the letters “JK,” which are Jungkook’s initials. He posted a picture of the sunset in Santa Monica and a picture of himself in SoFi Stadium!

ARMY couldn’t be more excited to see what the BTS members will post on Instagram in the future! Since BTS will be taking an extended vacation to get some much-deserved rest, perhaps we’ll see what they’ll get up to through their new accounts. And there’s no doubt that their history of breaking records on social media will continue as they grow their following on Instagram.
